effleurage

What is Effleurage?

Effleurage, is a French word that means “to touch lightly” or “to skim on”, and is a series of massage strokes typically used in Swedish Massage (to feel good) that warm up the muscles before deep tissue work.

It’s soothing, stroking movements are used at the beginning, and the end of a massage. It is also used as a connecting maneuver between the different strokes and movements. Effleurage is basically a form of massage where you stroke in circular patterns with the palms of your hand.

Effleurage can be firm or light, and is most effective when using the palmar surface of the hands; although, incorporating the fingers is good practice, too. Always use a lubricant (or lotion) and the best one for the body (and face) is high quality Almond Oil.

Why Almond Oil? Well, Almond oil is high in natural Vitamin E and phytonutrients. It is an excellent emollient and is very nourishing for the skin.

  • Emollient is having the ability and to sooth and soften skin.

The density of Almond oil soothes and softens the skin and also absorbs at the right rate. Side note: It’s also good for the scalp and hair.

Now, back to Effleurage. Basically, the process of using the fingers and palms of your hands in circular movements on the body if to act like a pump, which encourages lymphatic action.

Lymphatic action (or drainage) happens naturally,  during a massage, and using Effleurage the waste in the body is carried away from the tissues back toward the heart.

Why is this important?

Well, for starters, Lymphatic drainage, also known as manual drainage, relieves swelling in the body and breaks down illness blocks. That’s why getting a regular massage is so important. It keeps the body working right, and keeps everything flowing so one can enjoy a healthy long life.

But, getting a monthly massage that incorporates Effleurage is expensive. I know.

In addition to the expense, Effleurage, in and of itself — just isn’t enough, and most people that offer the service only go skin deep, on purpose. You see, Effleurage feels good. Very good! And most “professionals” that provide the service are only doing so to “catering to the client,”  by making their clients feel good.

But the body isn’t getting any long term benefits from basic feel-good-effleurage. You need to go deeper so the body gets results.

So these are my final words: Save yourself the monthly cost of massages because there is better way to get the benefits of Effleurage without breaking the bank.

There are simple, safe, at home massage techniques that help you live a healthy long life for a fraction of the cost.

Acupressure, Shiatsu, and Tai Chi Grand Master Ahn has been helping people take at least 10 years off their age (and looks) for over 60 years, to an elite and private clientele.

And now, his techniques are available for you to use, again and again, in the comfort of your own home.

The techniques are simple, safe, and very effective in improving body alignment and facial symmetry, too. They will guide, and help you to release blockages in the muscles, skin, and fascia that are preventing optimal circulation; the techniques will help you release tension that you don’t need to carry anymore. And when we release tension and restore optimal circulation, posture improves, deep lines soften, and the skin becomes rosy and plump again.  Naturally.

The techniques are proven, and many people have enjoy their results while also not burning a hole in their wallet to do so.

All of this is available to you as a downloadable PDF and can be found at Life Force Secrets.  It’s all there!
